The aim of the work was to substantiate the possibility of using the best available technologies for processing organic waste in poultry farms within the framework of a closed-loop economy to reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions. As part of the study, a systematic literary review of technologies for processing bird droppings was made. To calculate greenhouse gas emissions for coverage 1, the methodology approved by Order No. 15-r of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation dated April 16, 2015 was used, and for coverage 2, the methodology approved by Order No. 330 of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation dated 06/29/2017 was used. The technologies of processing bird droppings, both global and Russian, are analyzed in detail. Calculations of direct emissions from poultry breeding in Russia and the Novosibirsk region for the period 2020-2022 have been made. Direct (coverage 1) and indirect (coverage 2) greenhouse gas emissions from the Berdskaya Almaz poultry farm have been calculated. An assessment was made of the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions when using poultry manure processing technology at the Berd poultry farm Almaz. The investment costs for the introduction of the best available technologies for processing organic fertilizers in agricultural enterprises are analyzed. Estimates of the volume of biogas produced during the processing of poultry manure at the Berdskaya poultry farm, poultry farms in the Novosibirsk region and Russia are made. Recommendations on state support for agricultural enterprises are proposed. The use of the best available technologies for processing poultry manure allows poultry farms not only to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but even to earn income from its processing. The results obtained in the article can be used to develop a strategy for low-carbon development of the Novosibirsk region.
