Employment is the most fundamental livelihood issue. The support for college students' employment is one of the crucial contents of talent cultivation in colleges and universities under the new era background of building a strong educational country. Based on the framework of new institutional ism in sociology, this paper clarifies the regulatory elements, normative elements, and cultural-cognitive elements of college students' employment support. It discovers that there are predicaments such as the absence of mandatory rules, the lack of normative constraints, and the shackles of cultural-cognitive restrictions in the construction and implementation of college students' employment support. To this end, at the national level, it is necessary to perfect the top-level design, construct multiple employment channels, and enhance the employment service guarantee of government departments to perfect the regulatory elements; at the school level, it is necessary to improve the employment guidance system, strengthen the cultivation of personal comprehensive qualities, and enhance school-enterprise cooperation to ensure the normative elements; at the individual level, it is necessary to establish a correct employment concept, enhance the initiative and enthusiasm in employment, and families should exert positive guidance to enhance personal internal drive and strengthen the cultural-cognitive elements.
