In the current paper we provide a more general fixed point result under a relaxed contractive condition inspired by Jaggi-type contractions within the framework of interpolative metric spaces. For these mappings we prove that they possess a fixed point under certain conditions. Also, we give a condition for the uniqueness of the fixed point. Moreover, as consequences, we provide two fixed point results in interpolative metric spaces, where the fixed point is unique.
