Motivation: The increased SNR of 5.0T MR system may offer greater acceleration potential for abdominal 4D flow imaging, which is limited by long acquisition times and motion artifacts. Goal(s): To assess the feasibility of abdominal 4D flow imaging at 5T and investigate its acceleration potential for achieving clinically practical scan times. Approach: Optimized undersampling patterns and motion-corrected reconstruction were developed; both retrospective simulations and prospective 4-times accelerated undersampling were conducted. Results: High undersampling rates (8-times) maintained stable image quality and quantification accuracy, supporting the feasibility of accelerated, free-breathing abdominal 4D flow imaging at ultra-high field strength. Impact: This study demonstrated the feasibility of highly accelerated abdominal 4D flow imaging at 5.0T. With an optimized sampling pattern and motion-corrected reconstruction, it enables motion-resilient, free-breathing imaging for clinical abdominal vascular assessment within acceptable scan times.
