The object of the study is the process of opposition between offensive and defensive means in military affairs, while the subject of the research focuses on the features and dynamics of this process in modern high-tech conflicts. The aim of the study is to identify areas of military science influenced by changes in the dynamics of armed confrontation, to determine the nature of this influence with the goal of forming proposals for improving the provisions of guiding documents and aligning them with the realities of modern high-tech conflicts. The article defines that the current state of armed confrontation is characterized by the active use of new technologies, including dual-use technologies, and their operational integration into the process of armed struggle. The article examines the impact of this process on the changing nature of armed struggle and some paradigms of its organization. General scientific methods of analysis and synthesis are employed in the article. Data sources for the research include regulatory documents available in the public domain. Based on the analysis of the experience of using modern technologies in armed struggle, hypotheses regarding the influence of the dynamic implementation of new technologies on changing methods of conducting armed confrontation are synthesized, along with proposals for taking these features into account in the activities of military management bodies. The main conclusions of the conducted research are that, under modern conditions, the dynamics of updating the range of weaponry and special equipment has sharply increased, continuously altering the previously established balance of defensive and offensive means, necessitating a change in the approach to managing military operations by staffs and command. This described trend potentially leads to significant changes in military affairs that must be considered to ensure readiness for conducting current and future armed conflicts.
