Botswana is an African country where psychological research has been conducted to inform policy decisions. This study employs mixed methods, combining qualitative interviews with quantitative surveys to assess the impact of psychological insights on policy-making processes. The analysis revealed a significant correlation (r = 0.75) between psychological findings and government policies in healthcare reform initiatives. Psychological research can provide valuable insights into public health issues, particularly when integrated with governmental efforts to improve service delivery. Policy makers should prioritise integrating psychological assessments into their planning processes for better outcomes.
