District hospitals in Tanzania often face challenges in providing efficient healthcare services due to resource constraints and administrative inefficiencies. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining quantitative data from hospital records with qualitative interviews to assess service delivery processes and patient flow. The analysis revealed that average waiting times in outpatient clinics were reduced by 30% after interventions aimed at streamlining appointment scheduling and resource allocation. This study confirms the effectiveness of the proposed intervention strategies, which are expected to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency in district hospitals. District health authorities should prioritise continuous training for healthcare providers and further investments in information technology infrastructure to sustain improvements.
