In the contemporary globalized world, language education extends beyond literacy and grammar to encompass soft skills—personal attributes that enable effective communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and interpersonal engagement. English, as a global lingua franca, plays a pivotal role in facilitating the development of these competencies. This paper explores how English education contributes to soft skills development, identifies pedagogical strategies, evaluates challenges, and suggests ways to integrate soft skills consciously into English curricula. Through literature review and pedagogical discussion, the paper reveals that English education, when holistically designed, enhances students’ communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership, and cultural awareness—skills increasingly demanded in 21st-century workplaces.
