IDERHA is a European public-private partnership launched in April 2023. This pioneering project aims to create an open platform designed to enable connectivity, access, sharing, use and reuse of digital health data to maximize their value for patient care and medical research. In addition, IDERHA's policy recommendations will enhance regulatory and HTA decision making, facilitating access to digital health innovations for patients and health care professionals. This deliverable, D5.7, is a report on the legal and regulatory requirements affecting wider data-sharing for reuse of IDERHA data sources including an assessment of their limiting effects. The issues encountered (‘obstacles’) are distinct from the ‘policy gaps’ considered by WP6 in their considerations and deliverables. For clarity, WP5 focuses on legal and regulatory obstacles encountered by IDERHA, while WP6 addresses external policy gaps beyond the project’s control.
