The global importance on sustainable development emphasizes the integration of economic growth, environmental protection, and social equity. India's trade relationship with the European Union (EU), a crucial trading partner and creator in green diplomacy, is essential in advancing climate action and sustainability objectives. This study explores how enhanced EU and India trade stimulates sustainable development and climate goals, focusing on policy contexts, sectoral prospects, and institutional mechanisms that drive the green transition. It traces the development of EU and India trade, shifting from conventional goods and services to sustainable technologies, renewable energy, and carbon neutral systems. The analysis pointed out the impact of the EU's Green Contract, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and Sustainable Product Initiatives on India's trade and industrial policies. Conducted by principles of equity and common but differentiated responsibilities (CBDR), India supports with EU sustainability standards through initiatives like the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC), renewable energy expansion, and Paris Agreement commitments. Methodologically, the study used a mixed approach, combining qualitative policy analysis with quantitative evaluation of trade data sourced from the EU's Eurostat, India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and international trade databases like UN Comtrade. The study concludes that strategic EU and India association can serve as a global model for sustainable trade and climate governance.
