Inclusive education is a process in which all types of children whether they have disabilities, come from disadvantaged backgrounds, or are typically developing are provided equal opportunities within a single learning environment. This educational system eliminates discrimination and promotes equality and justice. Its objective is to provide instruction tailored to the individual needs of each child. Inclusive education fosters empathy, cooperation, and respect for diversity within society. The objective of this study is to study the availability of tools and resources for inclusive education in higher education institutions. The primary objective of inclusive education is to provide equal opportunities to all students, especially those with disabilities and disadvantaged groups, from include them in mainstream education. The study analyzes the current status of inclusive education in various colleges. The study focused on four key dimensions: physical infrastructure, teaching-learning resources, faculty and staff support, and policy and administrative support. A 20-point checklist was developed by the researcher. From this checklist, researcher collected data from 20 colleges. The study used a descriptive survey method. The results revealed that inequalities exist across various dimensions in the context of inclusive education. While some essential facilities are available within the physical infrastructure, basic amenities such as wheelchair ramps and lifts were lacking. The use of ICT in teaching-learning resources is satisfactory, but the availability of Braille and audio materials is limited. Positive feedback was found regarding teacher and staff support, particularly in terms of sensitivity and collaborative approaches, although the availability of special educators and counsellors was lacking. Awareness and commitment to inclusive education were observed at the policy and administrative levels in most institutions. While progress is being made in inclusive education in higher education institutions, special attention needs to be paid to developing physical infrastructure, expanding teaching resources, and providing expert support to make it more effective. This study provides useful guidance for policymakers, teachers, and institutions to implement inclusive education in a practical and effective manner.
