Abstract

A significant goal of ayurveda is to prevent disease through lifestyle management, diet, habits and self-care. Ayurveda has explained Dincharya, ritucharya, Sadvritta, ratricharya in ritucharya described ritusandhi (transit season) lowers down the immune system of the body and makes the conditions favourable for the spread of the disease. Ritusandhi, the Ayurvedic concept of seasonal transitions, emphasizes the importance of adapting one's lifestyle, diet, and habits during the junction between two seasons to maintain physical and mental balance. This ancient wisdom, rooted in preventive health care, highlights the vulnerability of the human body during these transitions due to environmental changes. In the modern era, where lifestyle disorders, stress, and environmental challenges such as climate change are on the rise, the principles of Ritusandhi are more relevant than ever. This article critically evaluates the concept of Ritusandhi, examining its theoretical foundation and exploring its practical applications in contemporary health management. By drawing correlations between Ayurvedic seasonal practices and modern wellness strategies, such as immunity boosting, detoxification, and mental health support, this paper argues for the integration of Ritusandhi into modern preventive health care. Furthermore, the article examinesthe scientific basis behind seasonal transitions and their effects on the human body, offering a holistic perspective on maintaining well- being in today's fast-paced world.
