The conducted study is aimed at a comprehensive analysis of the efficiency of the agricultural sector in the regions of Russia. Based on a multidimensional approach, three clusters of territories differing in the level of agricultural productivity were identified. Recommendations were developed for each cluster. Regions with high efficiency (the first cluster) need to strengthen their investment attractiveness and optimize the feed base in livestock farming. Regions with average indicators (the second cluster) should more actively implement melioration systems and increase the use of organic fertilizers. Regions with low efficiency (the third cluster) can improve results by disseminating successful management practices while reducing dependence on large-scale investments. The results of the study can be used to form a differentiated agricultural policy aimed at sustainable development of agriculture in various types of regions.
