In December 2020–January 2021, a salvage excavation was conducted in the Lavi Industrial Park in western Bet Shemesh (Permit No. A-8905; map ref. 195492–773/626999–7193, Fig. 1), prior to development work. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Superbus transport company, was directed by S. Gendler (metal detection), with the assistance of D. Ben Ayoun and N. Benenstein (preliminary inspections), N. Nehama (administration), S. Halevi (photography and photogrammetry), E. Marco (surveying), and A. Shadman and T. Kanias (consultation and scientific guidance)
