In May 2020, a salvage excavation was conducted to the southeast of H orbat Ra h ba, south of Dimona (Permit No. A-8735; map ref. 200863–2685/550537–999; Fig. 1), prior to road construction and the erection of a high-voltage column. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Israel Electric Corporation, was directed by D. Biton (field photography and flint), assisted by Y. Alamor (administration), E. Aladjem (surveying, drafting and aerial photography), Y. Nagar (physical anthropology), D. Gazit (studio photography), Y. Gorin-Rosen (glass), L. Kupershmidt (metal laboratory), I. Azulay (plans), M. Smilanski (flint drawing), A. Golani and S. Talis (guidance) as well as archaeologists, inspectors and guides from the IAA Southern region.
