Abstract The authors present the case of a patient experiencing frontoparietal intraparenchymal hemorrhage. With a history of a mechanical heart valve due to rheumatic disease, the patient was on warfarin and experienced a warfarin-associated bleed. The new 2002 guidelines for the management of intracerebral hemorrhage are discussed in the context of this case.
