Importance of Sancharibhava described in Natyashastra in the present scenario of communication: A study

Communication and communication are natural tendencies of living beings. If we consider it in a physical form, communication is life and non-communication means death. These are actually attempts to fulfill the expectations and needs of the living beings and to satisfy their curiosities. In this sense, communication is essentially an emotional activity that begins in our minds. Hardly anyone can deny the role that mental states play in our actions and reactions and our conduct. Modern communication scientists also believe that all other symbols of communication including language, dialect, literature, art are related to the sensations of the mind. In the Natyashastra of Acharya Bharatmuni, extensive light has been thrown on these sensations of the mind. Natyashastra may appear to be a book related to drama in physical form, but if we consider it from a structural point of view, it becomes a great text and encyclopedia of communication. Acharya Bharatmuni's explanation of the essences and emotions - especially the communicative emotions - by describing the basic nature of communication as dependent on mental states, is sufficient to express the specialty of ancient Indian Manisha's vision of communication. The presented research paper is based and focused on a short dissertation propounding the importance of communicative expressions in the current scenario of communication. In this, by systematically studying the communicative expressions described in Natyashastra, the researcher has found that these communicative expressions have special importance in the development of various forms of communication and dialogue.
