Abstract

Abstract: Shallots or Onion (Allium cepaL.)commonly called kitchen queen even Indian cuisine is incomplete without its presence. Onion has several medicinal properties and have good source of vitamins, minerals, fibre & carbohydrate. Onion was infected by various pathogenslike viral, bacterial and fungal diseases. Alternaria porri(Ellis) Cif.is a fungal disease which infects onion and decreases its quantitative and qualitative properties. This fungal infection is so severe it affects onion production upto 50-100 percent.
