Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC) is a malignant tumour with a predilection for metastases. Metastasis to the thyroid is uncommon, and metastatic CCRCC can morphologically resemble primary thyroid tumours. We present a case of metastatic CCRCC to a thyroid follicular nodule on a background of concurrent multifocal papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and discuss the diagnostic challenges this poses.
