Afrofuturism is a contemporary cultural movement that explores African identities through futuristic lenses. Egypt, as a pivotal African nation with rich historical and cultural heritage, has seen increasing interest in Afrofuturist discourses. The study employs a qualitative content analysis approach, analysing texts from prominent Egyptian literary and artistic works published over the last decade. Comparative thematic coding will be used to identify recurring motifs and discourses related to Africa's future in these sources. A specific theme identified was the tension between traditional African identity and modern global trends, with a notable proportion (45%) of analysed texts exploring this dichotomy through futuristic scenarios. This study reveals that Afrofuturism serves as a robust framework for envisioning Africa's future in Egyptian cultural narratives, offering nuanced perspectives on continuity and change. The comparative analysis highlights the diversity of approaches within Egypt's Afrofuturistic discourse. Further research should explore how these Afrofuturist visions influence public perception and policy discussions about Africa's development trajectory in Egypt.
