Afrofuturism is an interdisciplinary field that explores how African cultures can envision and achieve a future beyond colonial legacies and contemporary challenges. In Morocco, this concept intersects with studies of African futures, offering insights into societal transformations and cultural resilience. The study employs a comparative analysis approach, utilising qualitative data from existing literature on Afrofuturism in Africa and Morocco. This includes scholarly articles, policy documents, and case studies that reflect the intersection of Afrofuturism with Moroccan societal contexts. A notable finding is the emerging theme of technological innovation as a pathway to achieving African futures in Morocco, particularly in sectors like renewable energy and digital infrastructure development. This study highlights the potential for Afrofuturist methodologies to enhance academic engagement with African studies by providing fresh perspectives on complex societal issues. It suggests that integrating Afrofuturism could lead to more inclusive and visionary approaches to understanding and shaping future trajectories in Morocco and beyond. Future research should explore how Afrofuturism can be applied across different geographical regions within Africa, considering cultural diversity and regional-specific challenges. Additionally, there is a need for greater interdisciplinary collaboration between scholars of African futures and Afrofuturists to enrich the field's theoretical frameworks.
