This is a preprint of the following paper: "The Observational Closure Principle: Perceptual Boundaries as Conditions of Participation Rather Than Epistemic Defects." The paper introduces the Observational Closure Principle (OCP), a structural account of the conditions under which each mode of existence necessarily generates and inhabits its own observational world.
