This brief summarises the work undertaken by NATURANCE across four Innovation Labs. It provides a comprehensive assessment of how the insurance industry can facilitate investment in nature-based solutions. The brief also identifies the key enabling conditions required to overcome existing barriers. In addition, it explores specific investment opportunities for NbS in three priority contexts: conservation within the EU protected area network, resilience finance and urban green infrastructure, and wetland restoration.
