The stripping of topsoil and subsoil from a series of pits and trenches along a 300m drill route was monitored. In total, eight pits and two open-cut trenches were excavated over the course of the watching brief associated with the installation of a water mains renewal. There were no archaeological finds or features encountered during the watching brief.
