Abstract

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in relation to the construction of a new gas transmission reduction station (TRS) that formed part of a new gas pipeline running from Logierait to Birnam. The watching brief area equated to approximately 1200 sq. m which was all located within Murthly Castle Garden and Designed Landscape (GDL292). A small pit of unknown date was revealed towards the southwestern side of the watching brief area.
