Key Points

  • This work aims to measure the inclusive cross section of e+e- annihilation to hadronic states.
  • Measurements conducted using the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 collider.
  • Focus on energy range 1.8–2.0 GeV in the center of mass system.
  • Total cross section obtained by combining exclusive and inclusive measurements.
  • The measured inclusive cross section is systematically greater than the sum of exclusive cross sections.
  • Findings are compatible with previous measurements but show much greater statistical accuracy.

Abstract

The inclusive cross section of e^+e^- -annihilation to hadronic states with charged particles, excluding two-particle states is preliminary measured in this work. Measurement is done in the energy range 1. 8–2. 0 GeV in the center of mass system with the SND detector on VEPP-2000 collider. The total hadronic cross section is obtained by adding exclusive cross sections of e^+e^- -annihilation to hadronic states with neutral particles only and states with two charged particles to the measured inclusive cross section. The resulting cross section is systematically greater than sum of exclusive cross sections, compatible with previous measurements of inclusive cross section and has much greater statistical accuracy.
