A number of available data are analyzed and necessary calculations for estimation of the influence of the atmosphere on operation of a millimeter-range radar are performed. The results of calculation of precipitate and aerosol radio-wave attenuation and backscattering coefficients at frequencies of up to 300 GHz for are presented; these results can be used for prediction of the values of the attenuation and radar cross section in such media.
