Anmol Kaur : Writing Short Stories in Punjabi

This interview is a part of the “Punjabi in BC” oral history project (2019-2023). “Punjabi in BC” is comprised of interviews with over 50 K-12 teachers, language advocates, journalists, and writers who have contributed to the life of the Punjabi language in British Columbia, Canada. The subject of this interview, Anmol Kaur, was born and educated in Punjab. Supported and encouraged by her husband, she pursued her passion for writing. Her published novels include "Kaura Sach," "Kurri Kanada De," "Dukh Punjab De," "Ibadat," "Haq Layi Larya Sach," and a collection of short stories entitled "Zameer." This interview is divided into two segments and includes two promotional videos. In the interview, Anmol Kaur talks about her passion for writing, the books she has written, readership patterns amongst children, and the importance of encouraging learning of the Punjabi language.
