Roderick MacKinnon

Roderick MacKinnon works in Electrophysiology affiliated with Dalhousie University.

Roderick MacKinnon is the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Professor at Rockefeller University and an investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He heads the Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology and Biophysics, where his research focuses on the physical and chemical principles underlying ion channels essential for electrical signaling in the heart and nervous system. He previously served on the faculty at Harvard Medical School from 1989 to 1996.
