Judith K. Ockene is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Her research focuses on behavioral interventions for preventing disease, including studies on tobacco use, diet, and physical activity. She served as a principal investigator for the Women’s Health Initiative and as the behavioral psychologist for the United States Preventive Services Task Force from 2003 to 2008.
