Roberto Lorusso is a Full Professor and Deputy Director in the Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Department at Maastricht University Medical Centre. He obtained his MD from the University of Milan in 1987 and his PhD from Maastricht University in 1998. He has contributed to guidelines on cardiovascular diseases, acute pulmonary embolism, and ECMO support.
