He established the Swedish Registry of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in 1990 and served as its former Chairman. He began his career as a physician in 1974, specialized in cardiology and general medicine, and has authored nearly 750 peer-reviewed publications primarily on resuscitation, emergency medicine, and myocardial infarction.
