Anthony Gershlick served as Professor of Interventional Cardiology at the University of Leicester from 2008 until 2020. He worked as a Consultant Cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, from 1989 until 2020. He was the UK lead for more than 10 international clinical trials in cardiology and was the first doctor in the UK to insert a drug-eluting stent into a patient.
