Eva Gerdts is a full professor of cardiology at the University of Bergen and a senior consultant in cardiology at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, Norway. She chairs the Center for Research on Cardiac Disease in Women at the University of Bergen and has published over 240 scientific papers focusing on hypertensive heart disease, sex differences, and comorbidities like obesity and aortic valve stenosis. She graduated from the University of Bergen School of Medicine in 1981 and defended her doctoral thesis in 1999.
