John W. Hirshfeld, Jr., MD is an Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He serves as a staff cardiologist at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. He previously directed the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 1976 to 2003 and contributed to numerous guidelines for the American College of Cardiology.
