Steven A. Shea, Ph.D., is Professor and Director of the Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences at Oregon Health & Science University, and Professor in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. His research examines the biological basis of changes in disease severity across the day and night, including whether cardiovascular changes are caused by the endogenous circadian pacemaker or by behaviors such as the sleep/wake cycle. He previously held positions at institutions including Brigham and Women's Hospital.
