Mario Chiong

Dr. Mario Chiong is Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Chile, and Associate Investigator at the Advanced Center for Chronic Diseases (ACCDiS). He obtained his Biochemist title in 1987 and PhD in Pharmacology in 2009, both from the University of Chile. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases, including autophagy, mitochondrial dynamics, and vascular smooth muscle cell dedifferentiation.
