Stephen M. Black, PhD, is Associate Dean for Research, Interim Chair of the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Director of the FIU Center for Translational Science, and Associate Vice President for Translational Research at Florida International University. He previously served as Chief of the Division of Translational & Regenerative Medicine and Director of the Center for Lung Vascular Pathobiology at the University of Arizona, as well as in faculty and research director roles at Northwestern University and the University of Montana. His laboratory investigates the roles of oxidative and nitrosative stress in pulmonary hypertension, lung injury, and related conditions.
