Carina Blomström-Lundqvist is a Professor of Cardiology at the Department of Cardiology, Institution of Medical Science, Uppsala University, Sweden, since 2000. She also serves as a Professor in the Department of Cardiology at Örebro University and as a senior consultant in cardiology. She leads the arrhythmia unit in Uppsala and has conducted research on atrial fibrillation, including initiating procedures for Maze surgery and thoracoscopic epicardial ablations.
