Aldrin V. Gomes is a Professor in the Department of Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior and the Department of Physiology and Membrane Biology at the University of California, Davis. He investigates signal transduction pathways, particularly the role of protein homeostasis (proteostasis) and mitochondrial function, in cardiovascular diseases associated with commonly used drugs such as ibuprofen. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 1998 from the University of the West Indies.
