Edwin L. Bierman, MD (1930–1995), was a professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he served as the first director of the Northwest Lipid Research Clinic. He conducted research on lipid metabolism, diabetes, and cardiovascular risks, and chaired the Food and Nutrition Committee of the American Diabetes Association.
