James B. Bassingthwaighte

James B. Bassingthwaighte works in Electrophysiology affiliated with University of Washington.

James B. Bassingthwaighte was a professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington with adjunct appointments in radiology and biomathematics. He earned his M.D. from the University of Toronto and completed residency training in internal medicine and cardiology along with a Ph.D. in physiology at the Mayo Clinic. He directed the Center for Bioengineering at the University of Washington starting in 1975 and founded the National Simulation Resource Facility for Circulatory Mass Transport and Exchange.
