Sheila M. Hegde is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and a member of the Cardiology Division at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she also serves as Echocardiography Research Director. She previously served as faculty in the Cardiovascular Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at Harvard Medical School for nine years, including as co-director of the Cardiac Imaging Core Laboratory. Her research includes studies on reducing heart failure risk through physical activity and the impact of treatments on cardiac structure in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
