Iris Z. Jaffe, MD, PhD, is Executive Director of the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute at Tufts Medicine and the Elisa Kent Mendelsohn Professor of Molecular Cardiology at Tufts University School of Medicine. She earned her BA, MD, and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and completed internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and cardiovascular fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital before joining Tufts Medical Center in 2005. Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms of vascular diseases, including hormonal effects on blood vessels, sex differences in cardiovascular conditions, and vascular complications of cancer therapy.
