Paul Teirstein

Paul Teirstein, MD, is chief of cardiology and director of interventional cardiology for Scripps Clinic and director of the Scripps Prebys Cardiovascular Institute for Scripps Health. He joined Scripps in 1987 and founded the interventional cardiology program at Scripps Clinic. He received his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1980 and completed training at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Stanford University, St. Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, and the National Institutes of Health.
