Abstract

The X-ray appearances of 220 patients with Perthes' disease are described. The importance of lateral displacement of the head of the femur as the earliest radiological sign is discussed. The prognostic significance of lateral displacement of the head of the femur and other radiological signs are discussed and evaluated.
