Victor Parsonnet

Victor Parsonnet was a cardiac surgeon who joined Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in 1955. He performed the first permanent pacemaker implantation in New Jersey in 1961 and co-founded the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. He served as Chief of Surgery and medical director of the Pacemaker and Defibrillator Evaluation Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
