Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital economy is profoundly reshaping the ecological pattern of global sports. With the popularization of 5G communication, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain and other techniques, sports have accelerated from the traditional offline scene to the digital space of virtual and real integration, which has spawned a brand-new participation model, business model and value network. In this context, this paper takes digital technology to enhance sports as the core proposition, and systematically discusses the industry changes, market opportunities and prospects under technology empowerment. By analysing that big data and artificial intelligence are the key features of the current digital economy, this paper further discusses the reasons why the traditional sports industry needs to be integrated with the digital economy and then analyses the current specific application scenarios and finds that the digital economy promotes the reform of sports events in terms of marketing methods and user experience.
