The physical development of military personnel is a process of improving physical condition, which includes the development of physical qualities and the formation of appropriate beliefs, needs, knowledge, and skills. It occurs through the systematic performance of physical exercises and the influence of appropriate favorable conditions. The experience of war with the Russian aggressor proves that the level of preparedness of Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen must be very high against the backdrop of continuous armed clashes involving the use of modern firepower, including tank weapons. Theoretical and practical issues of special physical training for cadets of various professions have been addressed by many domestic and foreign researchers. However, to date, research on special physical training for many military professions is still insufficient, in particular for specialists in the tank units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Most studies of cadets' physical training have been conducted mainly for future specialists in the field of operation. At the same time, there is a lack of such studies for military engineers and mechanics, who make up a significant part of the tank forces. In addition, the presence of command and technical specialists among the military requires the development of certain psychophysiological qualities (the formation of various types of attention, the level of reaction to unpredictable events, a sense of strength, space, and time). Thus, the study of the physical development of tank specialists and the determination of the impact of the proposed author's program for future tank unit specialists on the professional and special training of cadets in the experimental and control groups remains a topical issue.
