The paper examines the features of clinical decision support information systems (CDSS systems). The systems help medical professionals make various decisions and solve patient care tasks, and today they actively and universally support the provision of high-quality medical care. Such systems consist of software designed to directly assist in making clinical decisions and evaluating or recommending specific patients to the doctor. The classification of CDSS systems as knowledge-based or non-knowledge-based domain is given. The advantages of such systems are presented, their description is given, in addition, the problems that arise during the development and implementation are considered. The conclusion is made about the expediency of using CDSS systems in the organization of high-quality medical care.
